Recap: February 2020 Collaboration Lunch and Learn

On February 27th, we hosted a Lunch and Learn for our clients who wanted to learn more about Microsoft’s collaborative tools found in the Microsoft Office 365 platform. It was the first in a series that we’ll be holding quarterly, going the extra mile by improving the understanding of available tools, helping client businesses reach the “innovation” tier of The Valiant Pyramid.

The event included a presentation by our President, CIO Justin Penchina, and Training Manager Maryann Dobrowolski. Starting with improvements made to mainstays like PowerPoint, Word, and Excel, the group demonstrated new collaborative features and how they integrate with some less-familiar applications. Maryann provided short tutorials on SharePoint, OneNote, Planner, and Teams. When used properly, these applications can contribute to an efficient and innovative workplace.

We went well past our expected time by over an hour as clients stayed to ask more in-depth questions while enjoying their lunch. During our internal recap of the event, Maryann noted, “it’s great to see when clients get that ‘a-ha’ moment when they discover Office 365 can do more than they realized.”

When your technology is running smoothly, your IT provider is almost invisible – but that’s not how we operate. Valiant is committed to taking proactive steps, like last month’s Lunch and Learn, to ensure that our clients are getting the greatest return from their investment in technology.

We’re excited to start planning our next Lunch and Learn and hope to see you there! In the meantime, click here to view the presentation from our collaboration event.
