ZPZ was founded in 2003 by Executive Producers Chris Collins and Lydia Tenaglia, with partner and Managing Director Joe Caterini coming aboard in 2009. Since its inception, the company has produced hundreds of hours of award-winning television in over 90 countries around the world, including the critically acclaimed and 2013 Emmy nominated series, Parts Unknown with Anthony Bourdain (CNN) and the Emmy award-winning series, Anthony Bourdain: No Reservations (Travel Channel) and Diary of a Foodie (PBS).
Having an in-house staffer makes sense for a firm on the scale of ZPZ, but no one in-house staff member can handle the infrastructure alone. ZPZ needed a partner that could work WITH their in-house team, without constantly campaigning for their job.
Managing large scale storage, implementing long-term archiving, building laser-fast networks across multiple floors and building an environment at on-location shoot in Montana (!!!). These are the kinds of technical challenges that face this dynamic company.
Valiant helped move ZPZ into their current office location, building their server rooms, deploying network infrastructure, security and backup technology. We manage the daily backups and the long term archiving. Plus, we’ve flown team members to Montana to build a field office. We’ve modified architectural drawings to suit the technical realities of a firm in this industry. And we make their in-house tech look like the champ he is, every day.
